"Hell if I know. S'not like I've ever been to America. Doubt I'll ever go, either."

"My brother's there right now. Doing Bradway or whatever."

"Antonio? Wait... what's 'bradway'?"

"Music or something. He's gotten into this play, too."

After thinking for a moment, she got it. "BROADWAY!?" she cried. "You're kidding!"

"Oh yeah, it was Broadway."

"You're joking."

"No, do you know it?"

"My mom used to RAVE about it. Said it's pretty amazing."

"Really? We should go to his play when it's out. I'm sure you'd like it. He sent me a letter or two, I'm happy he's finally gotten back to his senses."

"I've never really enjoyed that sort of thing, to be honest."

Boris stared. "You just sounded really excited, though!"

They had just had dinner and were munching on ice cream in front of the fireplace. It wasn't anything elaborate. They just bought some store-cooked chicken and boiled some potatos. It was all really good though, for such a simple dinner. Their dessert consisted of those plain Haagen Daas ice creams from some Muggle store down the street.

"So, Olivia, what's up?" Boris said, staring at the fire unblinkingly. He was just licking that ice cream with a nice poker face, and his other hand lay down on the couch by his legs. He was in this leaned position where part of his back wasn't touching the back of the couch and his legs were kind of relaxed away from each other.

Olivia was intensely focused on stabbing the dish of ice cream, trying to turn it into that syrupy melted... stuff that it does when you do that. "Nothing," she replied bluntly.

[it's been a terrible, terrible long week, i'm not feeling literate.]

He turned to look at her. "What the hell are you doing?"

"What's it look like?"

"Making ice cream soup? Mmm, that stuff's good."

"Yup..." It was rather odd. Olivia was actually somewhat bothered by the fact that Bore was speaking to her. Wished he'd just shut up already, she did.

Boris felt this presence coming from Olivia so he just shut up. She always made everything so awkward.

And once the ice cream was made sufficiently soupy, Olivia proceeded to drink it. Ugh, it was way too sweet.

After a while, the silence began to bug her more than the speaking. "Is it going to stop snowing or what?"

Suddenly, there was a loud banging on the door.

"I know!" Boris then heard the door knock but instantly ignored it. He didn't want to be bugged by some random person on Christmas. "I mean, I like winter and all, but if there's too much snow it gets on my nerves. At least it'll all melt by the end."

"I hate winter... We all froze half to death out there last year, you know? Still pretty fun."

"Yeah, it was cold. But, that's why I love chilling out in front of a fire."
