The Sawyer Household.

Nicolas was in his bedroom, staring up at the ceiling. He had nothing to do. It was boring. He could visit either Rachel or Max. There was a downside to both. For Rachel, her dad was scary, and Nicolas was the boyfriend. That wouldn't be good. And at Max's house there was Matt.

After thinking for a minute, he decided to go to Rachel's house. But then he realized that he had no way of getting to either houses because his parents were Muggles and their house wasn't connected to the Floo Network.

Rachel sent back right away. Only a note this time.

Nicolas was opening his grades.

Arthimancy: E

Care of Magical Creatures: D

Potions: E

Herbology: A

Charms: E

Transfiguration: E

Astronomy: P

History of Magic: A

Defense Against the Dark Arts: E

He stared at his letter for a minute.

"How'd you do?" Kathy asked, looking over his shoulder. He let her skim over the list, and she smiled. "You did good."

"Yeah, I guess. I'm a little disappointed. I didn't get any O's."

"You should've taken Muggle Studies, it'd be a guaranteed O."

"Kathy, I'd be so bored in that class. Are you taking it?"

"No - I was just saying..." she trailed off, and ran upstairs to her room to mail Andrea or something. Nick examined his grades for a minute again before leaving it for his parents, and going back up to his room as well.

[OMG I THOUGHT IT SAID NAIL ANDREA]

[Don't you need at least an E in Potions, Charms, Transfiguration? That stuff. He has good grades in that area. Just no O's.]

Rachel sent him a letter, or more so a note. Because it was only two sentences long, so it didn't exactly count as a letter.

Floo connection? Her handwriting was very messy, as though she was in a rush.

A minute later, she appeared behind him, tapping on his shoulder, despite the fact that that was kinda creepy. "I asked my mum and she side apparated me here."

Nick yelled.He fell out of his desk chair, and when he stood up, he turned around and stared at Rachel. "... okay then."

"Sorry, I had no other way-you live to far away from me. And, I can't drive, so."

"Well, at least we get to see each other," he smiled.

"Yeah, you're right. Anyway, what's new?"

"Erm, nothing much, really. You?"

"Nothing, got my OWL scores back." She than suddenly became quite talkative. "So, did you do good on your's? I did alright, guess all that studying paid off. But, what can you do with your life if the only four classes you're taking this year is Defense Against The Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Astronomy, and Divination? Maybe I fortune teller, but I dunno. What do you wanna be anyway? When are you getting your braces off? And, you've grown, haven't you? You're a bit taller than me right now. Oh, I'm so proud of you!"

And, she said this all rather quickly.
