Fifth Year Girls Dorm

"What?" asked Rachel.

"I heard from Padma who heard it from Parvati who heard it from Ginny Weasley who heard it from Hermione Granger herself who heard it from Harry Potter that they're starting a club that's teaching dark arts- Harry Potter is teaching it- so we can learn something that the hag Umbridge isn't teaching us!" Taking a breath, Serenity continued. "AND that it's going to be in the Hog's head in a week and a half!"

"Huh wait? You said that all very fast, back up from the beginning and say it bit slower, will ya?"

"I SAID: I heard from Padma Patil, who heard this from her sister Parvati, who heard this from Ginny Weasley, who heard this from Hermione Granger herself, who heard this from Harry Potter. They're starting a secret club that teaches Defense Against the Dark arts, taught by Harry Potter, because that old hag Umbridge doesn't teach us anything at all. The first meeting is in about a week and half, in the Hog's Head in that Hogsmade Weekend. It'll be so great! Plus, there'll be all kinds of top secret gossip there. I'm joining up."

"Really?" Rachel's face brightened up a bit. "If that's all true, than well, great! We can usually learn something!" She slumped backwards, against the bed post. "And, we might actually have a shot of getting a good grade in Defense Against the Dark Arts on our OWLS." Rachel's face looked a little stressed, like it always did during the talk of OWLS.

"I'LL GET AN E FOR ONCE!"

Katie was in a different world while all this was being said. She was in a dream land, and she never wanted to wake up.

"It's going to be great." Not bothering to take off her periwinkle robe, Serenity went to bed.

Rachel woke up the next morning, extra early. She stretched, and climbed out of bed, to change into her uniform. It may have been a school day, and a Monday at that, but she still wanted to try her best and enjoy the day.

She quickly changed into her uniform, and brushed out her, putting in a ponytail, and her makeup. She looked into the mirror, and smiled at herself. Rachel felt very peaceful and relaxed, despite all the stress with homework and tests, so, she decided to go walk out to the Clocktower, and watch the sun rise over the water.

Serenity, about an hour and a half later, blinked at the bright sunlight rushing through her sheer curtains. One of her cats- it looked like Brooke, Serenity couldn't tell through her sheets- sat at the end of her bed, almost foot-long tail swishing against the soft fabric.


Standing up reluctantly, Serenity pulled out her uniform, suddenly wishing desperately she could put a cuter outfit back on. It would have to wait for Saturday, today was business. Slipping on the blue and bronze plaid miniskirt, [which she had cut to make subtly shorter, halfway up the thigh] some just above knee-high very light bronzeish socks, with little brown bows on the sides at the top.
Serenity stuffed her head and arms into the classic white shirt, fastening the plaid tie and [guess what?] popping a Ravenclaw plaid headband into her hair. Trying to decide what to do with her short hair, she measured it, noting it was a quarter of an inch longer than it was last month. Deciding it was time to try out a style made for longer hair, Serenity put her chin-length curls into two little pigtails that started behind her ears. Clucking disapprovingly, she decided it was the best she was going to get, and quickly put on some coordinating brown eyeliner and mascara, slipping the lipgloss in her pocket after use for later.

Pulling on the black over-robes, kissing goodbye to each of her four massive cats, she donned brown mary-janes and ran out the door, grabbing her wand and bag as she did so.

Kaitlyn woke up, to see the bright sunshine. Darn... she thought. It was getting good. Kaitlyn pulled out the dame old blue and black uniform, and slipped it on. She put light blue eyeshadow on, and a thin shade of lipstick. Obviously, she asnt into makeup. She slipped some bronze and dark blue earrings on that her mother and her found in Diagon Alley. She put on her shoes and sighed. She didn't think what would happen in her dream would happen to her in real life. She brushed her hair, and put a hair band in, that would be good for today. She walked out into the common room, and out into the hallways, and down by the lake, to calm herself down after last night's dream.

Katie hurtled into the Dorm, looking for Rachel's uniform. She finally found it and put it in her bag, and then rushed downstairs searching for Rach.

She was dreaming.

Of course, Rachel dreams. Like most everyone, she dreams most nights. But, tonight, it was different. She had never had a dream quite as vivid, quite as real... quite like this one.

It was dark, so she couldn't see voices. But she could hear herself, the noises she was making. An someone else's voice too, Nicolas's voice. She heard other noses besides his. Rachel heard bumping, rolling around... and the occasionally shrieks of laughter.

And than, a tingling sensation came over her... an indescribable, but wonderful one.

But than, she suddenly woke up, sweating, and than feeling rather nervous. She ran her hand over her face and mumbled. "Oh God..." And she softly got up, careful not to wake the others.

She walked over to the bathroom, and fixed herself a cup of water, drinking some of it, and splashing the rest on her face. And than, she began thinking, and she felt rather ashamed of herself.

Why did she have a dream like THAT? Of course, she knew EXACTLY of what it was about, but why... She stared at herself in the mirror, and than shook her head. She didn't want to do THAT with Nicolas! Of course not! Only until after they were married, of course!

And so, she went back to bed...

...but nonetheless, she was still feeling rather...

Restless.
