The spider was an ugly shade of dark gray, appearing to be black in the dim light of the carriage. It was small, body just slightly larger than the head of a pin, legs about three millimeters each. It slowly traversed the wooden ledge on the back of the vehicle, crawling at its own little spidery pace. You see, a mosquito was now held fast by the spider's home, an intricately-woven web of silvery string. What a delicious dinner that mosquito would make for the famished creature. Just imagine the thoughts of the spider at that moment. Perhaps it was something like, "Yeehaw, I'm eatin' goooood tonight!" Or, maybe if our little arachnid had a more sophisticated mindset, it may have been, "Oh, how delightful! What a marvelous feast this little pest will make!"
Which brings me to my next point, would the powers of Legilimency be exclusive to use on humans and other freely-thinking beings, or would it work on other creatures, like the spider?
[what.]
