Amanda's New Apartment

"Ooooh! Those are delicious!"

"I know!"

"Olivia! Are you sure you don't want to come?"

No response.

"We'll buy orange pudding mix!"

"You do that!"

"Only if you come!"

Nothing.

Amanda sighed. "Guess that's a no."

"Let's still buy it for her." Kelsi said, and they went grocery shopping.


Around thirty minutes later, they were home, and Kelsi was holding the chicken. "Mmm, it smells so good! Olivia, smell it!" She thrust the clear cover over the big chicken in her friend's face.

Amanda laughed, and put down the door bags of soda, orange pudding, and a random assortment of junk food.

Olivia, who'd once again relocated to the couch, pushed the cooked bird out of her face. "Yeah, yeah, s'great."

Amanda was already taking everything out of her bags, putting the ice cream in the freezer and everything

And soon it was the next day, and neither Kelsi nor Olivia were anywhere to be found on the premises.

But, eventually, Liv returned. She was trying to wake Amanda up by yelling where she'd been in her ear. "Then I ran into a pole, and there I was at the post office. This muggle system blows."

Amanda slapped Olivia's face, like a snooze button on an alarm.

Olivia blinked. "Ouch."

Amanda fell back to sleep.

Olivia grabbed Amanda by the shoulder and started to violently shake her. "WAKE UP!"

Amanda woke up with a yell. "I HAVE A WAND AND KNOW HOW TO KI-- oh. Morning Olivia. I guess I fell back to sleep after Kelsi left."

"You hit me," she whined. "Muggles suck."

Amanda yawned, and rubbed her eyes. "How did you get into my room? It was locked." Amanda paused. "...Damn magic, now why do muggles suck?"

"Their postal system. It sucks."

"Eurgh, don't let me start about that... Did you eat yet?"

"Yeah, I stopped at some... place that served food. Another thing, why's everything so greasy?"
