Amanda's New Apartment

Amanda shrugged, and sadly smiled, mouthing, "It's fine."

Olivia squirmed out of Kelsi's hug. "Yeah yeah, right, I'm fine."

Kelsi leaned back. "You sure?" she asked with wide eyes.

Amanda walked next to Kelsi, and whispered in her ear "She's been like that after the week of it. Everyone mourns differently..." It was extremely not-subtle, seeing as Amanda had to lean down a bit.

Kelsi's eyes softened. "That's true. Should I stay for a few days? Or is it too much? I could keep visiting every day, or even help you with the cooking and such." Kelsi didn't mention how much of a horrible cook she was.

Olivia didn't really have anything else to say.

"Hey, Olivia. You know what will help you?" she said quietly, hoping not to be too naggy. "A long walk in a forest. That helped me with Fry."

"I'm fine," she insisted. "Besides, I hate forests."

Amanda smiled widely, out of pure happiness. "I-if you want to stay for a few days, that'd be fine. The love seat has a pull out, so..."

Kelsi realized she must be annoying Olivia. "Alright, if you say so." she said, sounding slightly disappointed. "Great! What do you mean by that?"

"Oh, a pull-out bed! Muggle furnishing really is space convenient. I'm so used to huge bulky beds from Hogwarts, those things took up most of the dorm!"

"That's why the rooms were so ginormous." Olivia turned around again, shoving her feet under the quilt, which had been pushed down to the edge of the bed.

"...I honestly never saw the dorms as large. More like sardine packed."

"Oh, Slytherin's were. Maybe, since you guys were Hufflepuffs, they were maybe... cozier, or something?"

"That's weird. I always saw them as pretty large- but that might be because I'm small."

"Oh well, remember I was next to that Laura chick, and she always moving her bed around because it felt as if the floor wasn't leveled?... Maybe her bed was just close to mine."

"Laura was so annoying, gosh! I felt bad for her parents, imagine how high maintanance she was!"

"Hey...where do you think she went during Seventh Year? I think she was muggle-born."

"Lin... That girl was mental. Seriously, she had some disorder or something. Amanda and I ran into her near the end of the battle?" She hesitated. "On second thought..."

Amanda twitched a little at the name Lin. "Please don't talk about her."

Olivia's eyes widened for a moment, as she began remembering more about that encounter. "Wh-what I said then, I didn't mean it! Not at all!"

"Anyways!" Amanda said, cutting the conversation off before anything else was said. "What will you guys want for dinner?"

"Food! Any kind of food! How about Mongolian?" Olivia's speech had sped up, and if you looked close enough, she was blushing. Juuuust barely...

"Mongolian?..."

"You know! That country in Asia... somewhere! You know what, nevermind, you two decide." She pulled the TV remote out of the crevice between the seat cushions and the back of the couch, and switched the ancient set back to life. There was some muggle news report about a shootout at a local fuel station.
