Clocktower Courtyard

"See you later Carmen!" said Lyn waving her goodbye.

"Well I just don't think it's right to judge her from what you've seen. Have you even talked to her? Then don't, please, it's very rude." Maya sighed, crossing her arms.

"No, I haven't talked to her. And why would it be rude to talk to her?"

Olivia, who was now wide awake again, was wandering in another part of the courtyard. Someone was gonna pay for this recent annoyance. But who...

Oh, wait, she knew exactly who. But where was this who, she wondered?

Then, she heard someone calling her name. She looked up at the clock tower.

Well, that answered that question. So, she turned back inside and headed for the stairs up to the top of the clock tower.

Kathy, all this time, had been... silent. She wasn't really the one who talked alot. Even though she had known everyone for awhile, she was still pretty quiet.

Holly sat down on a bench in the courtyard, looking up at the sky and swinging her legs back and forth.

[I only spoiled PART of the first chapter. The plot completely resets after episode four. And it's still surprising at the end of the first chapter. o_o]

Fry spotted Holly. And roughly made his way through the snow.
"HOLLY!"

So?

"Hey," Holly said, and waved.

"Hey, Holly, I have something to ask you." He made his way over and sat next to her.

"Uh, sure, go ahead."

"D'you... wanna go to the Yule Ball with me? We can sneak in, and just... have fun. See what it's like. It'll be worth it, I promise you. Sure, we'll eventually be caught. But then we'll have something to tell our kids about. we could keep it a memorial for our friendship. We crashed a ball. So?"

"..."

Holly thought for a moment. Was she really going to crash this party? Sure, she has good grades, but her common sense was low, but even this seemed dangerous to her. She looked down at her knees, and twiddled her thumbs together. She briefly examined the pattern of her blue-and-silver gloves. This would be a "memorial for their friendship", yes, but... something in the back of her mind (her conscience, perhaps?) told her that this was a bad idea. Biting her lower lip, she looked up at Fry nervously. Besides, she didn't even have any dress robes.

"..."

Pause again. Why couldn't she just say no?

"I... erm..." she started. She looked at her lap again. "No dress robes. Don't wanna get in trouble... see you later, I guess."

She got up, and walked off.

Holly was back in the courtyard, sitting, a hat pulled over her thick curls, gloves on her hands, and a scarf around her neck. Of course, a cloak as well - all of the winter stuff. She was rubbing her hands together, sitting outside... thinking. About what? She didn't really know, herself.
