"I don't like the style of it. Let's see if there's a different french maid costume.." Selia ripped out the page and memorized the number quickly, stuffing it in her bag.

"Well, I like the other one better. I'll order it,"

"We'll both be maids, then? That'll be great!"

"Yep! And Holly will be a random sailor,"

"THIS WILL BE SO COOL, KARIN! This is why we're best friends, we can always make things work out together!" Selia grinned, and got up, shutting the book and handing Karin the original maid outfit receipt.

"Uh huh, yep!" said Karin, still putting on that polite and friendly facade towards Selia.

Selia spent a moment putting away her book, then looked at Karin, shaking her head to get her bangs out of her face.

"Karin.. I'm jealous of you. You're always so brave and pretty and you always know what do to. You're really cool. Can you tell me how to be like you?"

"I think you're prettier than me. To be honest, I hate my hair color. I can't wear pink, and that's one of my favorite colors. And, I look too striking. Your hair is nice and thick and brown. And you're sweeter, and nicer than me. I'm too cruel for my own good." she said, simply.

"Your hair color makes you SEXY, Karin. You've always been so much more mature-looking than me. And my hair's been blonde, I recently got my package of hair-dye. And... Cruel...? You've always been nice to me! Well, except for lately, but, that's better now."

"I'm really vain though. I KNOW I look sexy or pretty or whatever, and I just use that to get what I want,"

"That's a good thing! You know what looks good on you or not! The real judge is whether you can use your talent of knowing how something looks sexy or pretty or cute (all good, but completely different kinds of nice-lookingness) on other people! Come on, I'll show you how nice you are." Selia dug in her bag and brought out her sister's trunk- stolen, because Serenity hadn't used it much.
"I know you're nice. Go on in, I'll show you."

"Well, fine, I guess..." and she climbed into it.

Selia stood among the rows of drawers and hangers, and faced Karin. "Simple. Make both of us look your quality of pretty and sexy. Then we know if you can help other people or not, and we know that you're nice or cruel." She crossed her arms, smiling with her simple test.

Karin looked around at all the stuff in the trunk for a minute, and than at Selia. Finally, she asked her: "What kind of test is THAT? What everyone thinks is sexy or pretty is different."

"Not really. Just make us both look like what you would want to look like if you wanted to look sexy. Because your taste is impeccable, and I trust you. See, so if you use it like that, then you're nice, and not cruel." Selia smiled again. "It's simple."

"Well, listen. I'll say it right now. Sexy is NOT your style. You're more pretty or cute than sexy. But, here, sit down," she said pointing to a vanity. "I'll see what I can do,"

"See? You're nice." Selia sat down, smiling at Karin in the mirror.

"Alright, I guess we'll start with the hair," and she pulled out a larger, red brush, and began to brush it out.

Selia smiled. "So, how are you doing lately?"

"Alright," she said off-handedly. "Hmm, what to do with the hair,"

"Oh, you're busy. I'll be quiet." Selia shut her mouth, content with letting her hair be played with.

"Do you mind if I straighten it?" she asked. And she began to straighten it anyway, not waiting for an answer.

"Of course not, do whatever, just no cutting, please. I like this length. It works for me."

"I was intending on cutting your hair, but do you mind if I give you a bang though?"
