"Greek Goddesses... what the Greeks used to worship, am I right?"

"Yup. Here's a picture." She pulled it out. "It's like what they traditionally wore, with my hair down, and some flowers in my hair and stuff."

"Pretty dress! I've never read any of the myths of the Gods and Goddesses they worshiped though."

"Really that's all there is to her that she's the goddess of love."

"Oh, well!" she stood up, and shook her hair out a bit. "We should go to breakfast now, it's get kinda late." And she grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder and walked out.

Serenity followed her, shaking her hair too, wondering if that's how she got that stupid letter.

The letter sat there devilishly, the neat black font on it seemed to be glowing.

Oh poor, poor Rachel.

You're in for a real ride.

"Things don't always turn out as you hope, I guess..."

It was Sunday, so Rachel didn't have to be dressed in uniform or down at the castle or any of that. Which, she wasn't. She was still in her pajamas and was curled up and was staring out the window on her bed. It was rather cold and dreary outside, and you couldn't see the mountains, but she stood out staring in spite all of that.

She had woken up that morning, realizing that all of those hopeful and sparkling dreams she had dreamed up of as a first year were never achieved. The hopes of being a star, a well-respected individual, someone that everyone knows and adores... all of that was gone. She was going to have made top marks, played Quidditch, then graduated school to live in London, and be an Auror...

Looking back at all of that, she couldn't help but laugh a bit. She wasn't that intelligent and she didn't apply herself much, so her marks were just average at this point. And, she was terrified of heights and flying, so how could she have possibly played for the house team? She wasn't in the classes that you needed to take to become an Auror. Whatever her job was going to be in the future was probably going to be a an average or lower income job, so how could have afforded to live an expensive like London?

Rachel curlied herself up even tigheter. "Life's funny..."

[Saturday. ]

(Either way, it's the weekend.)

[Yea.]

Serenity skipped up to her room, looking through her trunk for a nice outfit for tomorrow.

Rachel snapped out of dream land, and turned towards Serenity. "Hi, Serenity. How are you?" she was pretty jealous of Serenity, in reality. She always seemed to be so carefree and... confident. Yes, confident was the best word to describe her.

"I'm doing great! I've got a date tomorrow with some cute guy, and I'm just up here deciding an outfit. What's up with you?"

"Oh, um... not much." she looked up over at here excitedly. "Who's the guy?!"

"Alex Harumi. Gryffindor. Our year," Serenity filled in, smiling and playing around with her hair while looking through shirts. "What do you think of this one?" She held up a jean miniskirt, with black leggings, and a neon green top with a black jacket. "I'd wear heels, obviously. Cute, right?"

"Yeah. It's cute," Rachel had returned to look out the window.

"You okay, Rach? You look a little depressed." Serenity went over and hugged her, grinning.

"Oh, I'm fine!" she said, trying to sound cheerful. "I'm just really... tired."

"Laame excuse, babe." Serenity crossed her arms. "Come on, I know what'll make you feel better. You were complaining quite a bit about Nicholas a few weeks ago. Do you still feel that way about him?"

Rachel shrugged, and flopped down on her bed. "I'm not sure, to tell you the truth. I was thinking about starting to see different boys. You know, just for a change or something."

"Oooh! Do it, Rachel. It can't hurt anyone, and it's how things stay exciting in romance. If he finds out- tell him he's boring! Boys don't mind it, you know. Makes them try harder. If he's not exciting enough, you have a complete right to go and flirt around. Or, if you want to be old-fashioned... Break up with him and see other people. I just tend to stay single. But... rules are made to be broken!" She went and sat down on the bed next to Rachel.

"You're right!" Rachel seemed to cheer up at the prospect. "Next time I see him, I'll set the record straight- I just need a break and want to see different people! Heck, he might too for all we know."

"I don't think anyone else will see him," Serenity mumbled, but smiled to cheer up Rachel anyways.
