Sixth Year Girl Dorm

Amanda was in the bathroom at this point, getting ready.

"Two and a half, I think," Libby corrected. "But it's never come while I'm trying to kiss Max. And you know I get easily angered while I'm on my period."

"Don't we all? Maybe you do a little bit more than an average female on her period, but won't a simple snogging session actually bring you UP, not down?"

"I guess." Libby threw the covers off of her, and got off of her bed. She went into one of the bathrooms, changed her clothes (and obviously she got a tampon), and started brushing her teeth.

Kelsi smiled proudly.

"Why are you so smiley?" Libby asked.

"Because, finally you're going to kiss him! After all year!"

"Yeah, but shouldn't I be the excited one, and not you?" Libby finished brushing her teeth and pulled the ponytail holder out of her hair. She brushed it, then pulled part of it back in a clip. She put on some natural make-up, glossed her lips, put her wand in her back pocket and put a jacket on. "Ready for breakfast?"

Kelsi jumped up. She realized she was still in her pajamas. "Oh, I'll fix that." Then, she changed into a pair of jeans and tennis shoes, and a tanktop with a baggy sweater on top of it. She then brushed her hair and put a headband in it to separate her outgrown bangs from her main hair. She didn't put any makeup, just left with Libby. She brushes her teeth after breakfast on weekends.

Libby was sitting on her haphazardly made bed, daydreaming. It was Christmas, winter break, and the only person in her House she could celebrate it with was off at the lake or something. Didn't even bother to wake Libby up and ask if she wanted to go. Libby huffed, blowing her long side-bangs up in the air momentarily. She didn't want to bug her sister, who was off snogging Fry or whatever, and she didn't know where her other friends were. She could go and hang out with Nick, but he'd be with his guy buddies or Rachel, and Max would probably be with his guy buddies. Now that Libby was thinking about Max, she quickly pulled a small box out of the drawer on her bedside table, wrapped in Gryffindor colors. She placed it on the foot of her bed as to not forget it when she went down for breakfast later. For now, Libby just wanted someone to talk to. But that would require getting up, even if it were to go to the Owlery and write. If only she weren't so lethargic due to her oh-so convenient period, she'd be getting up and starting the day.

Sure, she'd made her bed, but she was still in her wrinkly sweatpants and long-sleeved T-shirt and fuzzy, warm socks she'd had on for pajamas. Her hair was finger-combed, but still sticking up and slightly tangled in places. She hadn't even bothered to brush her teeth yet. She WAS tired. But at the same time, Libby really couldn't sleep longer. She just had to stare off into space for awhile before being fully awake, enough to comprehend that it was too late to be lounging around in pajamas staring at a present you got your boyfriend.

Libby, who didn't hear Amanda calling up the stairs (she was zoned out anyway, so she couldn't really hear anything), was tracing little designs in the bedspread with her index finger. She had just sent Drew's present, and Mandy's was on her bed, but the rest were waiting to be delivered. She didn't even bother beginning to open presents from her friends and family.

Amanda's gift to Libby, was a set of new knee guards for quidditch, and a leather bound journal. Medirocerly [Sorry for miss spelling] wrapped, the knee guards were sitting by Libby's nightstand, and the book was in a little bag on her nightstand.

Amanda walked up. "Lib?"

"Hnh?" Libby mumbled, staring at the pretty bedspread.

"Happy Holidays!"

"Huh. Thanks. You too. Oh, and thank you for waking me up this morning. I appreciate it."

"I'm sorry. I didn't know if I should have woken you up or not... You looked so comfortable..."

"Yeah. Okay. Whatever."

Amanda grabbed the presents and raised them. "You gonna open your gifts?"
