[Oh for God's sake, we've been screwing around the carriages for how long? It's time we started this shindig.]

Serenity went and sat down, saving a spot for Rachel, her only house buddy.

Rachel plopped down next to her. "What are you going to be studying now for sixth year anyway?"

"Dunno, we're discussing options tomorrow, aren't we?"

Libby came in, and sat at the Hufflepuff table, reserving a seat on both sides of her for Amanda and Kelsi.

"Yeah, I guess... I'm going to be studying Divination and fortune telling and that kind of thing..." she then leaned back, and laughed, rather loudly. "It seems weird how I wanted to be an Auror. I should have none I could never have handled it, you know?"

Olivia came in and sat at the cool table.

"Things get harder. Fact of life. But, I think I'm going to be taking the core classes- just in case I want to back out and become a magical law attorney or judge or something. You need simplistic basic knowledge, then law school for that, so it won't really matter if I take required classes to be an auror, or a gardener, will it?" Serenity stared at the plates hungrily, then shook her head. Diet.

"Oh, that sounds really good! But... are you sure you think you could do it?"

"Of course I can. I might have to try at law school two times, but I have to be. There's nothing else I know how to do- except maybe be a prostitute. And nobody wants to do that."

"You could do a lot more besides being a you know-lots of stuff besides being just a lawyer or whatever."

"I don't really know how to do anything else."

"You could work at the coffee shop in the Ministry of magic...? That's my backup plan."

"How BORING. I'd rather go with my second option."

"Are you serious!?"

Kelsi immediately talked with Libby. So, the two were talking.


Then the sorting began.

"Dead serious. It sounds entertaining, and if I can't be a lawyer, might as well, right?"

"That's horrible... I'd NEVER be one of those..." she shivered slightly. "Ugh, just imagine having to do it for a LIVING with some strange old men... it's disgusting."

Olivia was paying attention to the sorting for once, to see if her and Kelsi's predictions were right.

"You never know, Rach, you might end up one."

"Why would I of all people be one?"

"I probably will end up one. That's what everyone says about me," Serenity said, pouting at her plate.

Rachel grinned. "Prove them wrong."
