Welcoming Feast

Serenity was standing behind them, listening to the conversation with her eyebrows raised. She smiled at Olivia and pointed to Dolly- or was it Molly?- and mouthed- "Similar to you, huh?"

Olivia choked on the fourth spoonful of pudding she'd just swallowed. "DON'T SNEAK UP ON ME!"

Serenity laughed, pushed apart the twins gently, and sat inbetween them. "Dissecting owls? Nice. How was the pudding this year, Liv? I feel so fat- I ate, like, the entire ribcage of the pig."

Dolly stared at Serenity. She seemed... bizarre. There was no way that they'll be able to... use Olivia. She's too thick. No, Olivia will help , yes. It seemed that Molly was thinking the same thing, because suddenly she too was staring at Serenity darkly.

"... You can dissect Gryffindors, no one likes them. OR! I know exactly who you could try it on. There's this fifth year in our house. Tallish, rather skinny, black hair... No one likes him. He'd be perfect."

Serenity half-frowned. These little girls were so weird. Cute, but that way they smiled was just creepy. She turned and looked at the food on the Slytherin table. "Got anything good over here? No- don't answer that. I may not be on my diet anymore, but I'm full." She perked up- "Wait, are we talking about who they should dissect? There's this perfect kid to dissect.. Have you ever heard of Harry Potter? Black hair? Gryffindor? Yeah. Do him. Or that be-yotch Cara."

"Why do we bag on Harry so much?"

"I dunno- he's sort of famous. I know, he came from a bad background, but Holy God, he needs to shut up. And he doesn't get in trouble for breaking rules."

"But, it's horrible to dissect humans..."

"... Oh, then what did you mean?"

"No cats!" Serenity said. "I like cats!"

The two girls turned to themselves. "We're dissecting owl pellets. And we were kidding, our innocence went downhill when we opened the door, and our little brother ran away."

"Aww..."

"Aren't owl pellets the things that owls barf up, and their gizzard presses it down? Gross. But I bet there's bones in them, you know. Are you sure you didn't push your brother out? You seem like the type," Serenity joked. "Nah, I'm kidding. But if you need help with anything, me and Liv are here. We love helping the noobs, right?"

Olivia interrupted Serenity. "Why are you over here?"

"I finished. Rachel's boring me right now, she's so nice, but sometimes.... Lecturing gets old. Plus, your my best friend!"

"I am not."

Rachel looked over at the twins. "Weirdos..." she shook her heads. Ah, kids these days. They're so silly.

"You are to me."

"I hate you." Olivia scraped the last of the pudding off of her plate and ate it.

"....." Serenity stared at Olivia. "You don't really mean that, do you?"

"Dislike at the very least."

Serenity pouted. "But I've only been nice to you!"

"You're not supposed to be over here anyway."

"That's not being mean to you!"
