"Great, let's go eat!"

And so, they ate, yumyumyum. The fried chicken was really good, and Mr. Yashnid had tipped the bowl onto Jake halfway through.

And they all went to bed, really late, and then it was morning.

Selia got up at a reasonable time in the morning and went into the living room after she got dressed, holding a wrapped box. For Jake, of course. She forgot about his family.

His family didn't care. They didn't get anything for her, either.

Jake appeared, with a thin package in his hands. It seemed frayed, and slightly ruined, but it would be doable.

"Merry Christmas!" Selia mumbled, handing him the gift. "Oh, um, it's not very good.. Sorry."

Jake smiled sadly. "Same with mine." He was going to give her something else, but he chickened out at the last minute.

"Here." Selia handed him the box. Inside sat a tin full of brownies, and other little pastries and sweets, but the pastries and sweets, everything but the brownies, were horribly burned.

"Sweet! Why are they black?"

He handed her his present- an already used old karate book. "... Heh..."

Selia smiled at Jake. "Thanks, I'll read it tonight. And, I burned them.."

"Awesome, Sel. And... you burnt them?"

"Not on purpose! It was an accident. The brownies are good though." She frowned. "Jake, I'm sorry, I should have just given you the brownies. Don't eat the burned things, they're probably disgusting."

He ate one. "... They're crunchy. And smokey..."

"I'm sorry. I was reading this book at the time and forgot they were in the oven until the fire alarm went off." Selia said. "Um, but I like the book. Thanks."

"I feel bad! My present sucks compared to your's! I was going to return something, but I thought it was kind of cheap, so I just got this book and yeah... Besides, it'll be more useful, so."

"Cheap? I made you food. How much cheaper can you get? I feel horrible. I should've just gone out and bought you something."

"Whatever, let's go have breakfast." Jake shrugged.

"Oh, no thanks, I'm not really hungry." Selia said. "I ate a lot at dinner last night."

Jake sat on the ground, and stretched his feet. "Back to normal, Sel!"

[[No! In my opinion, if you keep thinking you're doing it wrong, you're going to overplay him and it's not going to be good. You aren't overplaying him now.]]

"What? Back to normal? You're never normal." Selia teased.

[[Okay. Well, he's not the same from when I first started playing him.]]

"No, you! You're back to eating and stuff!"

[[He's evolved. That's not necessarily a bad thing.]]

"Oh, that. Well, if I had gone this long without eating, I think I'd be dead by now."

"You'd be decomposing! With maggots running through your spoiling bloodstream!"

Selia stared at Jake with a look of disgust on her face. "That's.. just gross. But, true." Who thinks like that?!

"Floating, and spinning around, and then they'll break through the skin, and pour through all your pores like.... Yeah."

"That's.. uh.. great." Selia said. "Another thing for me to have nightmares about," she muttered.
