Devin walked in with her head high, she though it'd be a piece of cake. "Proffesor? I'm here for my detention ma'am."

[[Rachel? Or should I do it?]]

Devin stood there.

(I'll do it.)

"Ah, hello this Ms. Devin. Please take a seat. You'll be writing lines today." She grinned her toothy grin. "And don't worry, I have my own special quill and parchment we're going to be using today..."

"Okay Ma'am." Devin politey sat down, putting her hand on her lap. "What will I'll be writing?"


(She didn't grasp a concept of homework correctly and did it wrong.)

(That seems a bit extreme for detention, but alright)

"I will do my homework the correct way." She took a sip of tea. "You may begin now,"

(This is Umbridge we're talking about XD... And she might have doodled Umbridgepictures on the back BUT.)

Devin began to write.

Devin stopped and rubbed her hand. It stung a little. She looked to see it had turned red. Devin decided to continue.

Professor Umbridge than took out a pile of essays, and began to correct them.

Devin then noticed a red tracing of 'I will do my homework the correct way.' etched in her hand. Her eyes widened at it, seeing as that was the increasing pain. Narrowing her eyes at Umbridge, she couldn't give in to her sick ways. So she didn't scream, Devin bit down on her lower lip and continued. The pain was really bad after a few more lines though, but she had to continue.

"May I stop?"

"No, keep going a bit longer, dear,"

Devin now had actually made a small mark from biting down on her lip so she didn't scream.

"Ma'am--" Devin's voice was slightly in pain, she was doing a pretty good job of holding in her real pain though. "Am I finished-?"

Libby came in, and sat down.

Olivia walked in with the others and sat near the window as she usually did.

Rachel walked into the classroom, and sat in the back, near a window, like she usually did when she was in this class.

Professor Umbridge took her seat in her desk in front of the class, like SHE usually did.

Amanda came in and sat next to Olivia.

Serenity plopped down on the other side of Olivia, humming a song.

"Oh my gosh" Olivia set her books under her chair. "You're in uniform."

"Alright," said Professor Umbridge looking up over at the class. "It's great too see your sweet and shining faces this morning!"

Which, of course, the class did not have, but Professor Umbridge pretended she didn't know that.

"Anyway, today's lesson is reading chapter eight in your books. When you're done reading it, please write an eight inch essay about what you've read. There is no need for wands or talking."

And, she took a sip of her tea.

"Oh shut up." A whisper now the teacher had assigned them. Pulling out her stupid textbook and putting away her wand as expected, Serenity got ready for another half hour of staring at the words, turning the pages blankly. Part of her mind might have memorized.. some of the letters, but the homework was to be done very late at night. And she could just look up the summary in the back of the book.

Olivia looked at the ceiling, as though staring at Heaven, with a goofy-looking amazed expression.

Amanda put her wand down and began to read the book.

"Alright," said Professor Umbridge looking up over at the class. "It's great too see your sweet and shining faces this morning!"

Which, of course, the class did not have, but Professor Umbridge pretended she didn't know that.
