Defense Against the Dark Arts

Libby, well, did the assigment that Umbridge had given them. There wasn't anything special to that, other than the fact it was incredibly boring in Libby's opinion.

Rachel opened to the correct chapter Umbridge had assigned to them. But, she didn't read it. Instead, she found herself staring off at the First Year's on there way to Herbology class.

Olivia took her Defense book out of the stack of books under her chair and turned to a random page. Then, seeing she was in chapter ten, she turned back a few pages. She was still in chapter ten. So, she kept turning until she got to chapter eight.

Halfway through the freaking chapter, Serenity slammed shut her book.
"This is crap. I could be doing something better with my time." She stood up, glaring at Umbridge. "I don't know what your problem is, but this book has only one purpose: to wipe butt."
By her reckoning, it was no crime to tell a teacher the truth.

Professor Umbridge looked up over at her, her plastic, toothy smile growing by the minute. "Serenity, dear. You have just landed yourself in detention. You may take your seat now."

"And what if I want to leave?"

Her smile began to grow. "I think I may just have to report you to Professor Dumbledore now, for backtalking and defying me," so, she pulled out a piece of parchment and quill, and began to write on it.

Olivia was looking back and forth at whoever was talking.

"Alright, I'm sure he'll be more sympathetic than you. Can I go now?"

"You may go now, and also, twenty points from Ravenclaw."

Rachel groaned, and hit herself with the book.

Libby facepalmed.

"You're not even in Ravenclaw!" whispered/snapped Rachel at Libby. "You shouldn't be upset..."

"Bye." Serenity grabbed her stuff, walking out of the room calmly. She didn't slam the door, but it wasn't exactly a quiet closing either. Walking down the hallways meanderingly, she whistled the famous tune you're supposed to sing when you go to Dumbledore's.

Even if he does favor Potter, he can't like Umbridge much, she interrupted his speech. I'm sure he'll be nicer than that old bitch.. Right?

"She's still acting like a dumbass," Libby whispered back.

"I know, but quiet you two!"

"Quiet, down you two!" said Professor Umbridge, and Rachel immediately shut up.

[But quiet you two?]

(Shuddup. I wasn't thinking straight. THat happens to me sometimes.)

[No problem.]

Olivia looked back at the book, shaking her head. How was Angel going to survive his whole life with such an idiot?

AND TEH BELL RANG. TIME FOR POTIONS.

Amanda took a seat in the back row.

(Is it JUST Lib and Sarah who are Umbridge or can anyone do them for classes?)

(Anyone can be professors for classes. It just always seems like it's me. ._.)

Kelsi entered the classroom and settled in the back. She hid her face realizing that her bangs weren't shading her eyes. Of course. She did that weird thing with her hair that morning. And so instead she just sat there.
